TERMS OF
SERVICE.

Effective 13 September 2026New ZealandVersion 1.0
Security notice

Bitsierra Events may request an optional, broad and self-reported digital-asset holdings range for audience research. We will never ask for a seed phrase, private key, recovery words, wallet password, wallet address, proof of holdings or a wallet connection.

01

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of this website, any request to attend, ticket purchase and participation in an event organised by Bitsierra Events (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using the website, submitting a request or attending an event, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not submit information or attend.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.

02

Independent organiser and third-party marks

Bitsierra Events is an independent event organiser. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or an authorised representative of Ledger, Meta or any other company referenced in event materials.

“Ledger” and other names, logos and marks belong to their respective owners. Any reference is descriptive and does not imply a partnership or endorsement.

03

Applications, registration and admission

A request for access is an expression of interest and does not guarantee admission. We may accept, decline or waitlist a request where reasonably necessary to manage capacity, safety, event fit or legal obligations. Admission is confirmed only by written notice from us.

You must provide accurate, current information and promptly tell us if it changes. Registrations are personal and may not be transferred without our written approval. We may require reasonable proof of identity at entry, but we will not ask for wallet access or financial credentials.

04

Tickets, payments and refunds

If an event or ticket is paid, the price, taxes, payment method and refund terms will be clearly displayed before purchase. No payment is due merely for submitting an expression of interest unless the page expressly says otherwise.

Event-specific refund terms shown at checkout form part of these Terms. Where no specific policy is displayed, paid tickets may be cancelled for a refund up to 14 days before the event, less non-refundable payment processing charges, unless New Zealand consumer law requires otherwise. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

05

Attendee conduct

You must behave lawfully, respectfully and safely. Harassment, discrimination, threats, disruptive conduct, unauthorised solicitation, misleading promotion, illegal activity and attempts to obtain another person’s credentials or financial information are prohibited.

We may refuse entry or remove a person whose conduct creates a safety, security, legal or operational risk. A person removed for serious misconduct may not be entitled to a refund, subject to applicable law.

06

Security and anti-fraud rules

Never share seed phrases, private keys, recovery words, one-time passwords, account passwords or remote access with anyone. We may request an optional broad holdings range for research, but will not request wallet addresses or evidence, ask you to connect a wallet for registration or instruct you to transfer assets to secure attendance.

You are responsible for independently verifying communications and links. Report suspicious messages to the contact address published on this website. We may suspend access or cooperate with authorities where fraud, impersonation or unlawful conduct is suspected.

07

Privacy and communications

We collect information you provide, such as your name, email, professional role, accessibility requirements, event interests and, where you choose to provide it, a broad self-reported holdings range. We use this information to understand our audience, assess requests, administer attendance, communicate event information and meet legal or safety obligations. We do not request wallet credentials, wallet addresses or proof of holdings.

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and applicable legal requirements. We do not sell personal information. Essential event communications are part of registration; marketing communications, if offered, require a separate choice and may be stopped at any time.

To request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, contact us using the address published on this site. Some records may be retained where legally required.

08

Educational content; no financial advice

Event and website content is for general educational and informational purposes. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, cybersecurity or other professional advice, and it is not an offer or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset or service.

Digital assets and related technologies involve material risks. You are responsible for your own decisions and should seek appropriately qualified advice. Speakers express their own views, which do not necessarily represent ours.

Unless an area is marked confidential, event photography or recording may occur. We will provide reasonable notice at the venue and, where practicable, a way to ask not to be featured prominently. You may not commercially record or rebroadcast sessions without written permission.

09

Programme changes, postponement and force majeure

Speakers, sessions, timings and venue details may change. We will take reasonable steps to communicate material changes. If we cancel a paid event, our liability will generally be limited to refunding the ticket price, unless applicable law requires more.

We are not responsible for delay, relocation, postponement or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, transport disruption, venue failure, government action, industrial dispute, utility outage, cyber incident or security threat. We will offer a reasonable alternative, credit or refund where required by law and practicable in the circumstances.

10

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss; loss of profit, opportunity, data or digital assets; or loss arising from reliance on event content, third-party statements, unauthorised communications or your failure to follow reasonable security practices.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to an event is limited to the amount you paid us for that event, except where a higher liability is required by law.

11

General terms

These Terms and any event-specific written conditions form the entire agreement between you and us about the event. If an event-specific term conflicts with these Terms, the event-specific term applies to that event. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.

We may update these Terms for future use. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date. These Terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@bitsierraevents.com. Replace this placeholder address with the organiser’s monitored business contact before launch.
